Database/Software Developer

SSG Advisors is seeking candidates for an anticipated 1-year USAID-funded project focused on federal Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). The Database/Software Developer will  update and integrate the agency's  existing Uniform Risk and Internal Control Assessment tool to support assessment activities during the ERM worldwide rollout, and develop other auotomated tools as ERM efforts mature. Ideal candidates will have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and web development tools. Experience with USAID helpful, but not required. This will be a  1-year, part-time consulting role.

Developmental Editor

SSG is recruiting for a Spanish-language Developmental Editor to conduct revisions and finalizations for a 100-page coffee-table style book (in Spanish) summarizing USAID’s decades of health assistance in Peru. The companion USAID/Peru Education book will summarize and present the history, themes and results of USAID’s work over the decades in the Education sector in Peru in a clear and easy to understand by the general public way, that is also historically, technically and statistically sound. Considered one major output of the key Education Legacy efforts as USAID closes its Education program in Peru between 2017 and 2018 – and its last Education program in South America - the purpose of the book not only records the history, lessons learned and achievements of such work, but also affords USAID a tool for public relations purposes within Peru as it ends its major education activities and beyond. This is a short-term consulting position.

Private Sector Engagement Specialist, Senegal

We are seeking a Private Sector Engagement Specialist for an anticipated USAID-funded project focused on fisheries biodiversity and livelihoods in Senegal. The anticipated five-year project will focus on improving sustainable fishing practices and economic security of fishing communities in the country. The Private Sector Engagement Specialist will lead the development of public-private partnership initiatives for this project – exploring, implementing, and advocating for opportunities to engage the private sector, public sector, and community groups in innovative, shared value partnerships to advance project goals. S/he will provide technical expertise on public-private partnership development, including strategies for outreach to the private sector. S/he will also represent SSG on public-private sector issues at technical, policy and strategic planning meetings, including meetings with collaborators and donors. This will be a five-year, full-time position, based in Senegal, and reporting to the project’s Chief of Party.
