The Staff Accountant will play a key role in SSG’s Finance department, and will be responsible for Accounts Receivable, including generating monthly invoices, posting cash receipts, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and other related responsibilities. The Staff Accountant will apply knowledge of accounting terminology and use spreadsheets and/or automated accounting systems, and will work closely with SSG’s staff across departments to ensure accurate and timely invoicing. Private Sector Engagement Specialist, Southern Africa
We are seeking a Private Sector Engagement Specialist for an anticipated USAID-funded conservation and water resource management project in Southern Africa. Based in South Africa, the anticipated 5-year project will focus on improving water resource management and access to safe drinking water and sanitation services, as well as strengthening community resilience and conserving biodiversity in Southern Africa. The Private Sector Engagement Specialist will lead the development of public-private partnership initiatives for this project – exploring, implementing, and advocating for opportunities to engage the private sector, public sector, and community groups in innovative, shared value partnerships to advance project goals. S/he will provide technical expertise on public-private partnership development, including strategies for outreach to the private sector. S/he will also represent SSG on public-private sector issues at technical, policy and strategic planning meetings, including meetings with collaborators and donors.
Engagement & Knowledge Management Specialist
The Engagement & Knowledge Management Specialist will play a key role in SSG's work promoting private sector engagement in global development. S/he will lead and support on-going and on-demand communications, insights, and knowledge management activities. This position will report to the Project Director.
Senior Associate, Inclusive Markets
The Senior Associate will play a key role on the Inclusive Markets team, while also serving across SSG’s practice areas as a technical resource on topics such as private sector engagement, value chain development, food security, financial inclusion, mobilizing investment and private capital, corporate sustainability, trade and competitiveness. S/he will play a critical technical role in providing expert advice and facilitation of cross-sectoral partnerships on behalf of SSG clients (donor agencies, corporations, and non-profits around the world). S/he must be able to work seamlessly across cultures and sectors to identify, forge and manage compelling and impactful collaborations. The Senior Associate will also help drive company growth through business development focused primarily on private sector, donor, non-profits and foundation clients. S/he will serve as a thought leader, both within the company and through public speaking engagements, writing, etc.
Project Analyst, Inclusive Markets
The Project Analyst will provide critical project implementation and business development support to our Inclusive Markets team, focused on private sector development, corporate sustainability, food security, supply chain development, trade and competitiveness, and financial inclusion. This is a full-time position based in Burlington, VT. Ability to travel internationally on short notice, and US work authorization required.
